RESEARCH OFFICER II

Responsible professional and supervisory work in the field of Social and Economic Research. An employee in this class is responsible for planning, organising, and conducting programmes of research into areas related to the functions and objectives of the Ministry/Department to which he/she is attached. Work involves conducting investigations into social, economic, and management matters of physical planning; collecting, collating, analysing, and evaluating data on relevant trends; liaising with Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies and private organizations; and supervising subordinate staff engaged in the compilation and collating of the raw material.
