An employee in this class is responsible for the supervision of staff within a Unit of the Cabinet Secretariat. Work is of a confidential nature and involves vetting draft Notes for Cabinet, Cabinet Minutes, Recommendations of Cabinet Sub-Committees and legal documents for signature of President/Secretary to Cabinet. Duties also include the preparation of the agenda for the Sub-Committees of Cabinet and liaising with Ministries/Departments in respect of matters before Cabinet. Duties are performed with some degree of independence and in accordance with established guidelines. Advice and guidance are received from a superior officer who reviews work for accuracy, timeliness and adherence to procedures.
