The incumbent assists in administering and ensuring compliance with Customs & Excise laws by representing the State in legal matters, providing advice on international trade agreements, and collaborating with enforcement agencies to prosecute offenders.

The incumbent assists the Board of Inland Revenue in complex tax-related legal matters, representing the Board in court and providing legal advice. They handle more complex tax cases and have autonomy in managing litigation and advising on tax reform.

The incumbent assists in defending tax assessments and provides legal advice on complex tax matters. They handle more complex cases than State Counsel I and have more responsibility in court and advisory roles within the Board of Inland Revenue.

The incumbent performs complex legal work, representing the State in constitutional and civil proceedings, drafting contracts and legal opinions, and providing legal advice to government ministries. They supervise junior legal officers in the Solicitor General’s Department.
