DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE

Responsible professional and administrative work in the field of Construction. An employee in this class organises, directs and co-ordinates activities in the Maintenance Division of the Ministry of Works, Maintenance, and Drainage. Work includes developing an overall maintenance programme, monitoring the programme, exercising general control over the use of funds, and supervising the professional and non-professional staff engaged in implementing the programme of the Division. The employee exercises a considerable degree of initiative and independent judgement in the performance of his functions within the framework of departmental policies and procedures. Work is subject to review by an administrative superior for efficiency through reports and discussions.
