The incumbent manages water systems for firefighting, ensuring maintenance, approving fire hydrant installations, and responding to fires.

The incumbent supervises the operations of a section in the Training Division, including implementing and evaluating training programs and responding to fires to provide additional cover.

The incumbent supervises the day-to-day operations of the Stores Section of the Fire Service, including approving requisitions, arranging the clearance of imported goods, and responding to fires to provide additional cover as required.

Supervises the implementation of fire prevention/protection programs, inspects establishments for adherence to safety procedures, and investigates causes of fires. Responds to fires and incidents as needed.

Supervises the operations of a designated watch at a fire station, ensuring readiness of fire crews, appliances, and equipment. Responds to fires and other emergency situations within the station's geographical area, assuming command of firefighting operations.

Supervises and coordinates the operations of the Ambulance Section, ensuring provision of first aid and emergency care. Approves medical supply requisitions and recommends changes in operational procedures for ambulance services.

Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Airport Fire Station, ensuring readiness of fire crews, appliances, and equipment. Responds to fires and incidents within the airport and its environs, taking command of operations.

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Division, ensuring the maintenance and repair of vehicles and other equipment. Allocates repair work, requisitions tools, and tests officers' driving skills for various vehicles.

Supervises officers involved in the registration of land titles and prepares reports for submission to the Solicitor General's Department. Ensures compliance with the Real Property Ordinance and other laws.

Manages the Water Section to ensure efficient water systems for firefighting, including approving fire hydrant installations, ensuring proper maintenance, and responding to fires as required.
