The incumbent performs complex legal work, supervises attorneys and support staff, and oversees legal work related to the registration of deeds, real property, births, deaths, and marriages, ensuring compliance with laws.
The incumbent assists the Chief Magistrate in planning, directing, and coordinating the work of the Magistracy, presides over Magistrates’ Courts, and adjudicates on cases of summary jurisdiction.
The incumbent investigates unnatural or unexplained deaths, holds inquests, and determines if an indictable offense has been committed. Reviews and approves applications for exhumation and tissue removal for transplantation.
