Work includes the general care and cleaning of buildings and rooms, arranging for laundering of linen, and the care and custody of household supplies and preparation of meals for guests on request. The employee is expected to live on the premises. Work is performed with independence within prescribed rules and procedures and is reviewed by a superior officer for efficient provision of services through inspections and reports.

Routine field work in the prevention of plant diseases. An employee in this class is responsible for destroying insects and other organisms which attack plants. Duties also involve assisting in plant disease surveys. Work is assigned verbally and in writing by supervisory officers who review performance by field inspections and through analysis of reports submitted.
