Manual agricultural work in the cultivation of a school farm or garden. An employee in this class is responsible for the raising and care of livestock and/or crops on a school garden or a school farm. The employee may assist in trial experiments and give demonstrations as directed by a superior. Employee may be required to supervise certain functions. Routine duties are performed independently but work is reviewed by a superior for accomplishment and compliance with procedures and directives.

Responsible supervisory work in the field of environmental sanitation. An employee in this class is responsible for coordinating the activities of subordinates who supervise gangs of daily paid unskilled workers engaged in sanitation and scavenging activities in a County/Borough. Work includes detailing duties to, and supervising the work of sanitation workers including scavengers, public convenience workers, weeders, cutlass-men, drivers, checkers, and watchmen and supervising scavenging and related jobs given out on contract. Work may also include the supervision of subordinates engaged in the cleaning of cesspits and/or septic tanks. The employee is expected to exercise some initiative and independent judgement in the execution of his duties and work is reviewed by a superior officer through reports, inspections, and meetings to determine performance and adherence to instructions.

Work involves stripping covers from roller stock and melting ingredients to form moulding compound. Assignments are received verbally from a superior but work is performed independently by the employee in accordance with fixed procedures and standards. Work is reviewed by the superior for efficiency and production excellence by inspection whilst work is in progress and also on completion.

The employee is expected to live on the premises. Work is performed with independence within prescribed rules and procedures and is reviewed by a superior officer for efficient provision of services through inspections and reports.
