Professional work of a supervisory nature in the field of Electrical Engineering. An employee in this class performs a variety of professional engineering duties in connection with the design, construction, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and appliances. Work involves the preparation and/or review of plans, specifications and estimates for the construction of electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration systems or for electrical equipment associated with the operation of water treatment and water production installations.

Advanced professional work in the field of Economics. An employee in this class performs research into the more difficult economic problems affecting Government’s fiscal, monetary, industrial, international, social and educational policies. Work involves devising methods of compiling data, the analysis and interpretation of same, the preparation of reports, and advising on policy. Work may also involve planning, assigning and supervising the activities of professional and other technical personnel. Work is performed with a considerable degree of initiative and independent judgment and is subject to review through conferences and an evaluation of reports.

Responsible work in the field of economic investigation and analysis. An employee in this class analyses economic data and trends to aid in the solution of problems affecting Government's fiscal, monetary, industrial, international, social, and educational policies. Work also involves the compilation of economic and statistical data and the preparation of preliminary reports relevant to the Ministry or Department.

Semi-skilled work operating duplicating machines. An employee in this class is responsible for the reproduction of written and photographic work. Duties may also involve the collating and binding of the reproduced documents. Duties are performed with considerable independence and are checked for clarity and neatness.

Advanced Professional laboratory work of a technical nature in the analytical examination of drugs and medicines. An employee in this class is responsible for the proper maintenance and efficient functioning of a drug laboratory and the training of staff attached thereto. Work involves supervision of subordinates and participation in the chemical and physical analysis of local and imported drugs and raw drug ingredients, to determine quality, purity and conformity with label claims and existing standards. Assignments are received in the form of samples selected or collected by the Drug Analyst or submitted by Government Departments and Private Agencies.

Specialised work conducting tests for Drivers’ Permit and Professional Driving Instructor’s licences. An employee in this class conducts theoretical and performance tests for learners applying for a Driver’s Permit and experienced drivers applying for Professional Driving Instructor’s license. Work involves signing and issuing certificates of competency to those qualified and writing reports on results of examinations. Employee receives general, oral or written instructions on changes of policy, but is allowed considerable latitude performing assignments.

Highly technical and supervisory work in the field of draughting. An employee in this class supervises all activities in a drawing office and participates in the performance of advanced drawing office duties. Work involves the preparation of a wide variety of complex final drawings, the supervision of subordinate draughtsmen and printroom operators. Occasionally the employee assists a professional superior in the preparation of sketch designs, specifications and estimates. Assignments are received from supervising professional officers through discussions or correspondence together with design and/or site sketches.

Highly technical work in the field of draughting. An employee in this class uses standard drawing office instruments and materials in the performance of the more technical and complex draughting and related duties in the field of architecture.

Technical work in the field of draughting. An employee in this class uses standard drawing office instruments in the performance of a variety of draughting and related duties. The work involves the preparation of site plans, or working drawings, the enlargement or reduction of drawings to a predetermined scale, and the proper indexing and filing of drawings.

Semi-skilled domestic supervisory work. An employee in this class supervises a small group of subordinates engaged in sewing, laundering, cleaning, and other light custodial work and plans, allocates, and checks their work through inspections and general observations. The employee may also be responsible for the serving of meals and the issuing and preparation of goods.
