Agricultural Assistant III

Responsible sub-professional and supervisory work in the field of agriculture. An employee in this class is responsible for the direct supervision of agricultural activities in a County, or in a large agricultural project or demonstration station. Work involves supervision and coordination of work of sub-professional agricultural, clerical, skilled and unskilled workers engaged in government demonstration stations, livestock breeding units and agricultural subsidy operations and in field service rendered to farmers both in respect of crop and animal husbandry. Employee personally performs more complex tasks. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of Government's policy in crop and animal husbandry but advice and guidance are received from a professional superior in difficult cases. Work is reviewed by a professional superior through observations, discussions and reports for adherence to departmental policies and procedures and for efficiency.
