An employee in this class is responsible for organising, planning, and directing all activities of the Planning and Research Section of the Inland Revenue Department. Work involves developing and administering systems for producing long and short term programmes and financial plans. In addition, the employee is required to analyse economic data and trends to aid in the resolution of problems affecting tax policies and procedures. Work is performed with considerable independence and is reviewed by the Board of Inland Revenue through discussions, reports, and general observations.
