RESEARCH ASSISTANT I

Routine technical work in the field of socio-economic research. An employee in this class performs a variety of simple tasks related to the collation of information for use in research, planning, or developmental studies. Work involves participating in the conduct of surveys, editing, classifying, and collating data, and compiling and tabulating statistics, charts, and other relevant data. Detailed instructions are received with assignments and the employee works under close supervision of a superior who reviews work for accuracy and adherence to instructions.
