WORKSHOP FOREMAN

Skilled and supervisory work in a mechanical workshop. Responsible for planning, laying out, and supervising the work of skilled tradesmen, helpers, and laborers engaged in the maintenance and repair of automotive and other heavy equipment. Assigns work, inspects work in progress, checks daily work against schedules, supervises clerical staff, and prepares work reports. Requires extensive knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment, automotive maintenance, and safety precautions.
