Skilled and supervisory work as a launch captain, operating a large motor launch, and supervising the crew.

Responsible semi-skilled and supervisory maintenance work. Plans, organizes, and supervises the activities of several labor gangs engaged in manual and semi-skilled work for the maintenance of public buildings, grounds, roads, and bridges. Assigns work to subordinate supervisors, inspects work in progress and completion, certifies paylists, and requisitions tools and materials.

Responsible security work in the protection of government stores and property. An employee in this class supervises a small security force in a Ministry/Department or Institution or an assigned group of subordinates from a large security force. The employee participates in general security work and may also serve as an armed escort for paymasters. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of departmental policies and procedures and is reviewed by a senior officer through reports, inspections, and discussions.
