This job requires the incumbent to work closely with the Attorney General, functioning as a principal legal advisor to the State on constitutional matters and all aspects of civil law. Responsibilities include planning and directing the work of the Solicitor General’s Department, providing legal advice to government and state agencies, and representing the State in complex legal proceedings.

The incumbent exercises authority and jurisdiction as a Judge in Chambers, hearing civil matters excluding those affecting personal liberty. Duties include writing judgments, hearing interlocutory applications, and participating in committee work.

The incumbent assists in law reform projects, performing extensive research, drafting legislative reforms, and advising on law-related issues. Supervisory responsibilities include training subordinates in legislative drafting.

The incumbent provides legal services with greater autonomy, representing the State and providing legal services on more advanced civil law matters. Duties include preparing for trial, attending court, and advising ministries on legal issues.

The incumbent presides over a court, adjudicating criminal, civil, and family matters. They act as a judge in summary criminal cases, hold inquiries in indictable matters, and manage the proceedings of the court, including issuing warrants and summonses.

The incumbent performs advanced legal work and supervises attorneys in the Solicitor General's Department. They represent the State in complex constitutional and civil matters, provide legal advice on local, regional, and international issues, and manage departmental operations.

The incumbent performs advanced legal work and assists in supervisory duties over attorneys and support staff. They are responsible for advising the State on complex civil law aspects, representing the State in constitutional matters, and assisting in government policy formulation.

The incumbent acts as a district judge, presides over an assigned court, and adjudicates on criminal, civil, and family matters. The Senior Magistrate is also the administrative and accounting head in each district.
