This job requires the incumbent to process administrative matters. This includes making recommendations for staff arrangements, maintaining staff establishment records, drafting memoranda, station notices, orders, formal addresses, press releases, and performing office management duties. Functions also include responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover as required.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise the day-to-day operations of the Fire Prevention Administration Section. Functions include examining building plans, reviewing fire safety/prevention requirements recommended by staff, making changes as necessary, and submitting to the Divisional Fire Officer for final approval, and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional officer cover.

This job requires the incumbent to repair Fire Service vehicles and equipment and to assign and monitor the work of junior staff engaged in similar activities to ensure effective and efficient operation during use. Duties also include conducting road tests and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover as required.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise the operations of the Breathing Apparatus Room, ensuring that all breathing apparatus equipment is operational and maintained. Duties include inspecting apparatus at Fire Stations, giving directives for equipment care, and responding to fires and other incidents as required.

This job requires the incumbent to assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Fire Prevention Section in an assigned Division. Functions include assigning and reviewing staff work, investigating fire causes, inspecting business premises, and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise a group of fire service personnel on a designated shift to ensure that appliances, equipment, and manpower are in a state of readiness to respond to fires and other emergencies. Functions include assuming command of operations during emergencies.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise the operations of the breathing apparatus room. Functions include monitoring the care, operation, and maintenance of breathing apparatus sets, inspecting equipment at all Fire Stations to ensure adequate supply, and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise and coordinate the operations of an ambulance section within a Division, providing first aid and emergency care to injured persons. Functions include supervising triage procedures in mass casualty situations, conducting lectures on life support techniques, and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise the operations of the Engineering Section at an Airport Fire Station, ensuring that vehicles and equipment are effectively maintained. Functions include assigning repair work, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, testing officers for vehicle competence, and responding to fires and other incidents to provide additional cover as required.

This job requires the incumbent to supervise and assist in the coordination of the operations of the Ambulance Sections within the Fire Service. Functions include distributing medical supplies, ensuring routine maintenance checks and tests on vehicles and equipment, and supervising the implementation of triage procedures in mass casualty situations.
