Assistant Chief Prisons Welfare Officer

This job requires the incumbent to assist in the planning, organizing and coordinating of the operational activities in the Welfare Section, which is responsible for the provision of welfare, rehabilitation, and parole services to inmates. Functions include assisting in policy development and implementation of programs of activities; managing and coordinating the implementation of the Parole Release process as it pertains to the Welfare section, supervising staff, reviewing case histories of referred inmates, and providing counseling services as required.
