Cashier II

Responsible work as a cashier with limited supervisory responsibilities. An employee in this class is responsible for the receipt, verification and custody of cash and the paying out of substantial sums of money to private firms and individuals for services rendered or goods supplied. Employee may supervise other cashiers or clerical personnel performing related duties such as writing receipts or deposit vouchers. Assignments are received orally or in writing from a superior who also is available for handling unusual situations which vary from established procedures. Work is verified upon completion for accuracy.
