REGISTRATION OFFICER

Supervisory electoral work. An employee in this class is responsible for organizing, planning and supervising all activities in an assigned registration area under the Representation of the People Act. Work involves the upkeep and maintenance of proper registration records and the supervision of staff engaged in all activities relevant to the registration of persons in an assigned registration area. Work is performed with considerable independence within the framework of applicable election laws and departmental policies and procedures and is reviewed by a superior officer through inspections, reports and meetings.
